Předmětem této práce je analýza vztahu mezi svobodou a zlem v pojetí Gottfrieda Wilhelma Leibnize zejména na základě jeho řešení problému Theodicey. Jedním z cílů je srovnat do jaké míry Leibnizův koncept odpovídá současnému sekulárnímu a křesťanskému myšlení. V této práci jsou popsané oba termíny v kontextu jejich použití Leibnizem pro určení vztahu mezi Boží a lidskou svobodou a zlem. Dále v této práci jsou uvedený pohledy filosofa na lidskou svobodu, svobodnou vůli a původní ohraničenost stvoření. Kromě samotných pojmů svobody a zla jsou uvedeny také koncepty a pojmy související s oběma termíny, především pojem Boha, koncepce věčných pravd a koncepce monády. V druhé kapitole je popis Leibnizova pochopení zla a jeho rozdělení na tři základní typy: metafyzické, morální a fyzické a jsou představené podobnosti a rozdíly mezi křesťanským a Leibnizovým chápáním svobody a hříchu. Závěrečná kapitola srovnává Leibnizovy postoje s moderními pohledy na problematiku svobody a zla. Klíčová slova Leibniz, svoboda, svobodná vůle, zlo, hřích, Theodicea, stvoření. The subject of this thesis is the analysis of the relationship between freedom and evil in the concept of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, primarily based on his solution to the problem of Theodicy. One of the goals is to compare to what extent Leibniz's vision corresponds to contemporary secular and Christian thinking. In this work, both terms are described in the context of their use by Leibniz to determine the relationship between God's and human freedom and evil. Further in this work, the views of the philosopher on human freedom, free will and the original limitation of creation are presented. In addition to the concepts of freedom and evil themselves, concepts and theories related to both terms are also presented, especially the concept of God, the concept of eternal truths and the concept of the monad. In the second chapter, there is a description of Leibniz's understanding of evil and its division into three basic types: metaphysical, moral and physical and description of the similarities and differences between Christian and Leibniz's understanding of freedom and sin.
