cze Abstract:
Se sukcesí neoddělitelně souvisí atmosférické depozice reaktivního dusíku a síry, jež dlouhodobě ovlivňují půdní chemismus a podporují růst konkurenčně silných druhů. The results show that the decline is not caused by one specific factor, but rather by a complex synergy of several influences. Of the above hypotheses, the first two proved to be relevant, while no evidence was found for the other two, which are unlikely, although not entirely impossible. The main chronic factor is succession following the end of traditional farming, which kept the tundra open and relatively species-rich. With the decline of grazing and other activities, more competitive grasses (hairy sedge) and, above all, shrubs, especially blueberries, have taken over, the upper tree line is also gradually shifting. Succession is inextricably linked to atmospheric deposition of reactive nitrogen and sulfur, which have a long-term impact on soil chemistry and promote the growth of competitively strong species. The second main factor is climate change. Above all, dry and hot spring seasons can be an immediate trigger for the widespread dieback of alpine grasslands. Verification of preliminary findings will require more thorough analysis. We can summarize that, based on current knowledge, the probable cause of the phenomenon under investigation is a combination of ecological succession (abandonment of grazing, atmospheric deposition) and climatic extremes (high temperatures and drought).
