This doctoral study investigates epoxy resin nanocomposites for advanced electrical applications. Although epoxy resins offer exceptional insulation and adhesion properties, their electrical characteristics require enhancement through nanoparticle incorporation. The study comprises two main parts: a comprehensive theoretical review of the dielectric prop erties of composites, and an experimental investigation of epoxy nanocomposites. The experimental work focused on optimizing the dielectric properties of ceramic oxides, such as iron oxide (Fe2O3) and yttrium oxide (Y2O3), for high-voltage insulation. In addition, the investi gation extended to other oxides including silica (SiO2), alumina (Al2O3), and magnesium oxide (MgO).Moreover, Developing epoxy/ Graphite flakes (GFs) composites for energy storage applications, and exploring epoxy-coated tungsten tips for field electron emission via the dot capacitor model. Key challenges, including filler dispersion and structural integrity, were also addressed. The materials were characterized over a broad frequency range (102 to 106 Hz) and a temperature range (30–170,°C), with high field breakdown analysis. This study provides customized strategies for epoxy composites in energy storage, high-voltage systems, and emission technologies. This thesis advances epoxy nanocomposites for next-generation electrical applications. Ceramic oxide integration significantly enhances the dielectric performance of high-voltage systems, while epoxy/GFs composite demonstrate viable energy storage solutions. The dot-capacitor model successfully explains the emission behavior of epoxy-coated emitters. Together, these findings establish design protocols for epoxy-based materials that meet critical industrial demands in energy and electronics.
