cze Abstract:
Výsledky umožní výběr akaricidních látek šetrným kplodu a mohou přispět ke snížení toxické zátěže včelstev. Je však potřeba dalších experimentů (subletální působení silic, testování vprovozních podmínkách atd.).Varroasis is considered to be a major problem in beekeeping worldwide. This pro-blem is accentuated by the increasing incidence of mite populations resistant to synthetic acaricides. At the same time, there is concern about the overuse of these substances and the consequent contamination of bee products with residues and metabolites that pose a risk not only to bees but also to humans. Essential oils are a promising alternative to synthetic acaricides because of their single-spirit degradability and acaricidal properties. It is generally assumed that appropriate application of essential oils does not pose a risk to adult bees, but little information is available on the effect of essential oils on the honey bee larvae. In this research, a test was conducted to select a suitable emulsifier to test the toxicity of essential oils and to test 9 essential oils showing strong acaricidal activity to determine the LC50 on honey bee larvae. The eligibility of emulsifiers was tested on 15 worker larvae of the last instar in three replicates. In the first part a 5 % solution of emulsifier and water was tested, in the second part solutions of emulsifier and essential oil were prepared. The essential oil test was carried out on 25 last instar worker larvae in three replicates for each concentration. Each test included a control where only the emulsifier was used. Larval mortality was assessed after 24 hours by sensory inspection of the frame with the solutions applied. The results indicated that ethanol was the most suitable emulsifier. Based on probit analysis, the following showed the lowest toxicity: peppermint (LC50 =301.454 ppm), litsea (LC50 =206.718 ppm), thyme (LC50 =73.660 ppm), cinnamon (LC50 =65.790 ppm) and clove (LC50 =57.442 ppm). On the other hand, hops (LC50 =7.129 ppm), carrot nepal (LC50 =3.971 ppm), carrot seed (LC50 =3.907 ppm) showed the strongest larvicidal effect. The results will be further compared with the LC50 values for mites and adult bees. The results will allow the selection of lasrvae-friendly acaricides and may contribute to reducing the toxic burden on honey bee colonies. However, further experiments are needed (sublethal exposure to essential oils, testing under field conditions, etc.).
