Cílem této bakalářské práce je literární interpretace románové trilogie Sága rodu Floriů od současné italské autorky Stefanie Auci, konkrétně svazků Sicilští lvi, Lvi na výsluní a Pád sicilských lvů. Práce se soustředí na analýzu obrazu Sicílie, který autorka konstruuje na pozadí historického vývoje rodu Floriů v 19. a na počátku 20. století. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována tématům společenského vzestupu, dopadu sjednocení Itálie a měnícího se postavení žen. Práce sleduje tematické a narativní strategie, jimiž Auci překonává stereotypní vnímání ostrova a nabízí jeho komplexnější vyobrazení. The aim of this bachelor thesis is a literary interpretation of the historical family saga I leoni di Sicilia and its sequel L'inverno dei leoni by contemporary Italian author Stefania Auci. In the Czech translation, the historical family saga is published in three volumes under the titles Sicilští lvi (I leoni di Sicilia), Lvi na výsluní (1st part of L'inverno dei leoni) and Pád sicilských lvů (2nd part of L'inverno dei leoni). The thesis focuses on the analysis of the image of Sicily as constructed by the author against the background of the historical rise and decline of the Florio family in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Special attention is paid to themes of social mobility, the impact of Italian unification, and the changing role of women. The research seeks to identify the thematic and narrative strategies by which Auci challenges stereotypical representations of the island and offers a more complex view of its historical identity.
