This thesis aims to analyse the processes the translators of the Harry Potter books by J. K. Rowling went through when they translated it from English to Czech. In other words, it explores the possibilities the translators had in order to oblige the language structures the Czech language offers. The analysis is based on the onomasiological model by Kos (2023) which develops from Dokulil's (1962) theory. The translated terms are classified into categories and analysed within the onomasiological model. The terms in the sample are categorized and then assessed. Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl popsat metody použité bratry Medkovými v překládání knižní série Harry Potter od J. K. Rowlingové z angličtiny do češtiny. Tedy způsoby, které překladatelé museli podniknout, aby vyhověli jazykovým strukturám češtiny. Analýza využívá onomaziologický model představený Kosem (2023), který zakládá svou tezi na teorii Dokulila (1962). Z nových termínů je vytvořen vzorek, který je poté analyzován v rámci onomaziologického modelu. Vzorek je také rozdělený do kategorií, v kterých následně analýza probíhá. Vzorek je poté vyhodnocený.
