Cílem této bakalářské práce je provedení strategické analýzy organizace Správa železnic a identifikace faktorů, které ovlivňují její dlouhodobé ztrátové hospodaření. V teoretické části je představen pojem strategie a jednotlivé analýzy využívané při její tvorbě. Praktická část nejprve popisuje historii Správy železnic a její legislativní rámec. Následně aplikuje metody analýzy vnějšího a vnitřního prostředí, konkrétně PESTLE analýzu, Porterův model pěti sil, VRIO analýzu a finanční analýzu. Součástí je také konkurenční srovnání s vybranými evropskými správci infrastruktury. Celá práce je završena syntézou v podobě SWOT analýzy, která shrnuje příčiny ztrátovosti organizace. Na základě těchto zjištění jsou v závěru formulována doporučení pro Správu železnic. Pro zhotovení této práce byly domluveny konzultace v podniku, konkrétně s ředitelem Centra sdílených služeb (CSS). The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to conduct a strategic analysis of the Správa železnic organization and to identify the factors contributing to its long-term financial losses. The theoretical part introduces the concept of strategy and the analytical methods used in its formulation. The practical part first describes the history of Správa železnic and its legislative framework. Subsequently, it applies methods for analyzing the external and internal environment, specifically PESTLE analysis, Porter’s Five Forces model, VRIO analysis, and financial analysis. The thesis also includes a competitive comparison with selected European infrastructure managers. The work culminates in a synthesis in the form of a SWOT analysis, which summarizes the causes of the organization's unprofitability. Based on these findings, recommendations for Správa železnic are formulated in the conclusion. The thesis draws on consultations conducted within the organization, specifically with the director of Centrum sdílených služeb (CSS).
