Diplomová práce se zabývá ekologickým zdaněním osobních automobilů v Evropské unii se zaměřením na registrační daně a jejich vazbu na emisní náročnost nových automobilů. V teoretické části práce je nejdříve popsána problematika emisí v silniční dopravě a následně zpracována komparace systémů zdanění automobilů ve státech EU. V praktické části je provedena kalkulace registračních daní pro vybrané modely automobilů v roce 2023, na jejímž základě je konstruována klíčová vysvětlující proměnná zachycující míru daňového zvýhodnění nízkoemisních vozidel. Pro měření vlivu daňového zvýhodnění elektromobilů na průměrné emise flotily nových vozidel je využita vícerozměrná regresní analýza. Výsledky naznačují, že daňové zvýhodnění může působit zejména skrze vyšší podíl nově registrovaných elektromobilů, zatímco přímý vztah k průměrným emisím flotily nových automobilů se nepotvrdil. This diploma thesis deals with the ecological taxation of passenger cars in the European Union, focusing on registration taxes and their link to the emission intensity of new cars. The theoretical part of the thesis first describes the issue of emissions in road transport and then compares car taxation systems in EU countries. The practical part calculates registration taxes for selected car models in 2023, on the basis of which a key explanatory variable is constructed to capture the degree of tax advantage for low-emission vehicles. Multivariate regression analysis is used to measure the impact of tax incentives for electric cars on the average emissions of the new vehicle fleet. The results suggest that tax incentives may have an effect mainly through a higher share of newly registered electric cars, while a direct relationship with the average emissions of the new car fleet has not been confirmed.
