Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá, jak uživatelé v evropském regionu vnímají aplikaci Replika a interakci s umělými inteligentními společníky (AICs). Cílem bylo identifikovat klíčové postoje, motivace a obavy uživatelů a porovnat je s výsledky původního výzkumu zaměřeného na americké uživatele. Data byla zpracována pomocí sentimentální analýzy a tematické analýzy. Analýza sentimentu potvrdila převahu pozitivních hodnocení. Tematická analýza odhalila opakující se témata související s osamělostí, emocionální podporou a parasociálními vztahy, ale také obavy z nadměrné „lidskosti“ modelu, jeho nepředvídatelnosti a problematických obchodních praktik aplikace. Evropský vzorek navíc vykazoval zvýšenou skepsi vůči AI a potřebu větší kontroly nad chováním modelu. Závěry studie potvrzují, že AIC mohou uživatelům poskytovat psychologickou podporu, ale zároveň vyvolávají etické a praktické otázky týkající se jejich dalšího vývoje. This bachelor's thesis examines how users in the European region perceive the Replika application and their interaction with artificial intelligence companions (AICs). The aim was to identify key attitudes, motivations, and concerns of users and compare them with the results of the original research focused on American users. The data was processed using sentiment analysis and thematic analysis. Sentiment analysis confirmed the predominance of positive ratings. Thematic analysis revealed recurring themes related to loneliness, emotional support, and parasocial relationships, as well as concerns about the model's excessive "humanity," its unpredictability, and the app's problematic business practices. In addition, the European sample showed increased scepticism towards AI and a need for greater control over the model's behaviour. The study's findings confirm that AICs can provide users with psychological support, but at the same time raise ethical and practical questions regarding their further development.
