Cílem této diplomové práce bylo zhodnotit současné HR procesy v hotelu z pohledu generace Z, a identifikovat silné a slabé stránky těchto HR procesů s ohledem na potřeby a preference této generace. Práce kombinuje primární a sekundární výzkum. Primární data byla získána prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření mezi studenty Fakulty mezinárodních vztahů Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze, kteří spadají do generace Z, a konzultací s HR specialistkami z hotelu Marriott v Praze. Sekundární výzkum čerpá z odborné literatury, firemních dokumentů a statistických zdrojů, což poskytuje teoretický rámec pro analýzu. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, že silnými stránkami současných HR procesů z pohledu generace Z jsou možnosti vzdělávání a kariérního růstu, důraz na pravidelnou zpětnou vazbu a transparentnost v hodnocení výkonu. Naopak slabé stránky zahrnují nedostatečnou flexibilitu pracovních podmínek, omezené zapojení digitalizace v některých procesech a nedostatek přímého zaměření na otázky udržitelnosti a diverzity. Na základě zjištěných dat byla formulována doporučení zaměřená na optimalizaci HR procesů, včetně využití digitalizace, podpory kariérního růstu a důrazu na udržitelnost. Tyto návrhy přispívají ke zlepšení pracovního prostředí a celkové konkurenceschopnosti hotelového sektoru. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the current HR processes in a hotel from the perspective of Generation Z and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of these HR processes concerning the needs and preferences of this generation. The thesis combines primary and secondary research. Primary data was obtained through a questionnaire survey among students of the Faculty of International Relations at Prague University of Economics and Business, who belong to Generation Z, and consultations with HR specialists from the Marriott Hotel in Prague. The secondary research draws on academic literature, company documents, and statistical sources, providing the theoretical framework for the analysis. The research findings revealed that the strengths of current HR processes from the perspective of Generation Z include opportunities for learning and career growth, an emphasis on regular feedback, and transparency in performance evaluation. Conversely, the weaknesses include insufficient flexibility in working conditions, limited integration of digitalization in certain processes, and a lack of direct focus on sustainability and diversity. Based on the findings, the recommendations were formulated to optimise HR processes, including the implementation of digitalisation, support for career growth, and an emphasis on sustainability. These suggestions contribute to improving the work environment and the overall competitiveness of the hotel sector.
