Cílem bakalářské práce je zmapovat, jakým způsobem je v současných učebnicích anglického jazyka pro střední školy prezentována anglofonní populární hudební scéna a současně vytvořit přehledovou studii nejčastějších typů aktivit, které jsou v učebnicích navázány na využití populární hudby jakožto specifického typu autentického materiálu. V úvodní části bude představena populární hudba a její pozice a důležitost v cizojazyčné výuce. Dále budou analyzovány vybrané učebnice anglického jazyka pro střední školy s cílem zjistit, v jakém rozsahu a jakým způsobem jsou žákům prezentovány informace z oblasti anglofonní populární hudby, přičemž se zaměříme na konkrétní typy cvičení zaměřené na práci s populární hudbou. V závěru práce bude vytvořen metodický průvodce učitele pro práci s populárními písněmi v hodinách anglického jazyka s návrhy konkrétních aktivit, v nichž budou zohledněny tři základní fáze nácviku poslechu s porozuměním: před-poslechové aktivity fáze samotného poslechu s porozuměním a fáze post-poslechová. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map how the popular music scene of English-speaking countries is presented in current English language textbooks for secondary schools and at the same time to create an overview study of the most common types of activities that are linked to the use of popular music as a specific type of authentic material in textbooks. The introductory part will introduce popular music and its position and importance in foreign language teaching. Then, selected English language textbooks for secondary schools will be analyzed to determine to what extent and in what ways information on English popular music is presented to students, focusing on specific types of exercises aimed at working with popular music. The conclusion will contain a teacher's guide for working with popular songs in English language classes, with suggestions for specific activities that take into account the three main phases of listening comprehension practice: pre-listening activities, the listening comprehension phase itself, and the post-listening phase.
