Rentgenová výpočetní tomografie byla použita pro vizualizaci písemných nálezů z nedávno vyzvednutého vraku havarovaného bombardéru Wellington 311. bombardovací perutě RAF, sestřeleného v Holandsku při návratu z bombardování Brém. Cílem tomografického průzkumu bylo zjistit míru poškození materiálů a detaily jejich uspořádání pro účely plánovaného restaurování. X-ray Computed Tomography was used for the visualization of written artifacts recovered from the recently salvaged wreck of a crashed Wellington bomber, belonging to the RAF 311th Squadron, which was shot down over the Netherlands while returning from a bombing raid on Bremen. The goal of the tomographic survey was to determine the extent of material damage and the details of their arrangement for the purpose of planned restoration.
