Tato práce se věnuje oblasti Brd se zaměřením na Střední Brdy, která byla kvůli přítomnosti vojenského újezdu Brdy po většinu 20. století a začátek 21. století nepřístupná. Díky této skutečnosti má region v Česku jedinečný krajinný ráz. V krajině se nachází evropsky významné lokality s výskytem ohrožených druhů rostlin a živočichů, zaniklá sídla, jejichž obyvatelé byli vysídleni kvůli vzniku vojenského újezdu, a další prvky paměti krajiny. Práce si klade za cíl najít klíčové prvky paměti krajiny Brd. Kvůli ochraně přírody a krajiny Brd vznikla se začátkem roku 2016 chráněná krajinná oblast Brdy a již 8 let ovlivňuje další vývoj využívání krajiny Brd. V práci je diskutováno, jak je paměť krajiny Brd v současnosti interpretována místními aktéry a výsledky této diskuze se snaží přispět k rozvoji regionu Brd. Klíčová slova: paměť krajiny; místa paměti; regionální identita; image regionu; Brdy; změny krajiny; 20. století This thesis focuses on the Brdy region, particularly the central Brdy area (Czechia), which was inaccessible for most of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century due to the presence of the Brdy military training area. Because of this, the region has a unique landscape character. Local landscape includes areas of Natura 2000 with the presence of endangered plant and animal species, abandoned settlements whose inhabitants were displaced due to the establishment of the military area, and other elements of landscape memory. The work aims to identify key elements landscape memory sites within the Brdy area. To protect the nature and landscape of Brdy, the Brdy Protected Landscape Area was established at the beginning of 2016, and it has been influencing the further development of the Brdy landscape for eight years. The work discusses how the memory of the Brdy landscape is currently interpreted by local stakeholders, and the results of this discussion aim to contribute to the development of the Brdy region.
