Tématem této práce jsou hodnoty, které určují způsob a cíle péče o duševně nemocné v současné společnosti. Vychází se z předpokladu, že pojetí duševního zdraví a nemoci se liší podle toho, zda jsou nahlíženy z biologické, společenské, nebo individuální perspektivy. Tyto odlišnosti se týkají vlastních zájmů a systému hodnot. V práci jsou analyzovány různé koncepty duševního zdraví a nemoci s cílem rozpoznat hodnoty, které určují postupy v péči o duševně nemocné. V závěru je zvažován soulad i možný konflikt těchto hodnot a zájmů. It is based on the assumption that the concept of mental health and illness differs depending on whether it is viewed from a biological, social, or individual perspective. These differences relate to underlying interests and value systems. The thesis analyzes various concepts of mental health and illness in order to identify the values that determine practices in the care of people with mental illness.
