Jathilan je druh rituálního tance z oblasti Yogyakarta na Střední Jávě, který se pořádá při slavnostních příležitostech. Tanečníci se za pomoci šamanů, hudby a tance stávají médii mezi světem duší a lidí tak, že do svého těla nechají vstoupit duši předka. V této bakalářské práci popíšu charakteristické rysy jathilanu, zaměřím se na jeho historii a význam pro společnost. Zmíním i několik dalších druhů tanců, které se na jathilanových vystoupeníchvyskytují.Nazákladě osobního pozorováníasebraných materiálů zanalyzuji průběh tanečních oslav a s nimi spojené rituály. Klíčová slova Jathilan, Jáva, duše předků, posednutí, trans, rituální tanec Jathilan is a type of ritual dance from the Yogyakarta region in Central Java, traditionally performed on ceremonial occasions. With the help of shamans, music and dance, the dancers become mediums between the world of spirits and the human world by allowing the soul of an ancestor to enter their bodies. In this bachelor's thesis, I will describe the characteristic features of jathilan, focusing on its history and significance for society. I will also mention several other types of dances that are often performed during jathilan events. Based on personal observation and collected materials, I will analyse the course of the dance celebrations, and the rituals associated with them.
