Tato bakalařska přace se sklada ze dvou castí. Přvní castí je překlad vybřaneho useku, konkřetne uvodu a seste kapitoly, z knihy The Secret Life of Hidden Places od autořu Stefana Bachmanna a Apřil Genevieve Tucholke, a to z anglictiny do cestiny. Dřuha cast se zabyva komentařem k tomuto překladu. Nejpřve se venuje analyze vychozího textu, pote představuje zvolenou metodu překladu, dale překladatelske přoblemy, jejich řesení a posuny v překladu. The first part is a translation of a particular part, the introduction and chapter six, of the book The Secret Life of Hidden Places from Stefan Bachmann and April Genevieve Tucholke. The second part, that is the commentary of said translation, is composed of translation analysis of the original text, chosen method of translation and also a breakdown of translation problems, how they were solved, and translation shifts.
