cze Abstract:
The diploma thesis focuses on the lived experience of caregivers with the support system in the context of caring for a person with Parkinson's disease. The aim of the research was to find out what experiences caregivers have with the available form of support, what feelings they experience when obtaining and using it, and what they consider to be key for managing their demanding role. Qualitative research was carried out in the form of semi-structured interviews with caregivers and subsequently the main themes were identified, including family and friends, interests and leisure time, mental health care, health care, barriers to using services and suggestions for improving overall support. The work focuses on the subjective statements of caregivers and how they perceive the accessibility, support and limits of the support system. Based on these lived experiences, it offers suggestions for practice, for example, strengthening community support or greater involvement of caregivers in decision-making processes.
