Tato diplomová práce se zabývá významným poděbradským rodem Boučků, který zahrnoval tři generace zdejších lékařů. Konkrétně se zaměřuje na doktora Františka Boučka, který byl zakladatelem rodu a zároveň i první poděbradské nemocnice, jeho syna Bohumila Boučka, který se částečně zasloužil o vznik zdejších lázní a vnuka Bohuslava Boučka, zakladatele a prvního děkana lékařské fakulty v Hradci Králové. Rozsah práce mapuje období od počátku 19. do poloviny 20. století. Každý z uvedených lékařů má v této práci vlastní kapitolu. Ta se nejprve zaměřuje na osobní životy a rodinné příběhy. V další části mapuje jejich bohatou lékařskou činnost. V neposlední řadě je popsán jejich vztah k městu a angažovanost ve zdejším veřejném životě. V jednotlivých osudech jsou promítnuty politické události a změny, které se v dané době odehrály. Práce je založena na archivním výzkumu v SOkA Nymburk a v archivu Polabského muzea. Další prameny jsou získány z rodinného archivu Boučků, jehož obsah poskytl vnuk zmiňovaného Bohuslava Boučka, doktor Jiří Payne. Dále práce vychází z odborných publikací Bohumila a Bohuslava Boučkových, vybrané literatury, zabývající se historií města Poděbrady a starších novinových článků. Cílem této práce je poskytnout ucelený vhled do osudů lékařského rodu Boučků a zároveň vyzdvihnout jejich... This thesis deals with the important Bouček family of Poděbrady, which included three generations of local doctors. Specifically, it focuses on Dr. František Bouček, who was the founder of the family and also local hospital, his son Bohumil Bouček, who partly contributed to the establishment of the local spa, and his grandson Bohuslav Bouček, the founder and first dean of the medical faculty in Hradec Králové. The scope of the work covers the period from the beginning of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century. Each of the mentioned doctors has his own chapter in this thesis. First, it focuses on personal lives and family stories. In the next section, it charts their wide medical activities. Last but not least, it describes their relationship to the city and their involvement in local public life. The political events and changes that took place during the period are reflected in the individual fates. The thesis is based on archival research in the SOkA Nymburk and the archives of the Polabské Museum. Additional sources were retrieved from the Bouček family archive, the contents of which were provided by the grandson of Bohuslav Bouček, Dr. Jiří Payne.
