Práce se zabývá vlivem neoliberalismu na město a jeho rozvoj na příkladu nově vznikající čtvrti Waltrovka budované od roku 2014 doposud pod taktovkou jediného developera. Vycházím z teoretického rámce kritické urbánní sociologie a skrz teorii produkce prostoru zkoumám, jak se město a jedinci v něm navzájem ovlivňují. Dále se zaměřuji na pozici městských komunit jako opaku k neoliberální individualitě ve městě. Cílem práce je popsat a vysvětlit prostorovou produkci Waltrovky a propojit teoretickou konceptualizaci neoliberálního města s jeho praxí, nakonec bádat po vysvětlení, jak teoretická východiska působí na každodenní život jedinců ve čtvrti. Výzkumná část práce primárně vychází z pozorování prostoru, z rozhovorů a analýzy propagačních materiálů developera. This thesis examines the influence of neoliberalism on the city and its development, using the example of the newly emerging Waltrovka district, which has been under construction since 2014 under the leadership of a single developer. I draw on the theoretical framework of critical urban sociology and, through the theory of space production, examine how the city and the individuals within it influence each other. I also focus on the position of urban communities as the opposite of neoliberal individuality in the city. The aim of the thesis is to describe and explain the spatial production of Waltrovka and to connect the theoretical conceptualization of the neoliberal city with its practice, ultimately seeking to explain how theoretical principles affect the everyday lives of individuals in the district. The research part of the thesis is primarily based on observations of the space, interviews, and analysis of the developer's promotional materials.
