Úvod: V posledních letech dochází k výraznému poklesu pohybové aktivity a současně k nárůstu nadváhy a obezity u dětí. Tato situace se zhoršila během pandemie COVID-19. Nositelné technologie, jako jsou chytré náramky, nabízejí nové možnosti, jak děti motivovat k pohybu. Pro jejich efektivní využití je však nezbytné ověřit přesnost získávaných dat. Cíl: Cílem práce bylo porovnat údaje o energetického výdeje a tepové frekvenci z náramku Garmin s hodnotami naměřenými referenčním mobilním analyzátorem PNOĒ u dětí mladšího školního věku. Metody: Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 13 dětí ve věku 6 až 11 let. Měření probíhalo na běžeckém pásu při rychlostech 4 km/h a 6 km/h. Data z chytrého náramku Garmin vivosmart 5 byla porovnávána s hodnotami získanými pomocí analyzátoru PNOĒ. Součástí výzkumu bylo rovněž vyplnění dotazníku PAQ-C/CZ zaměřeného na pohybovou aktivitu dětí. Výsledky: Při rychlosti 4 km/h náramek Garmin vivosmart 5 nadhodnocoval energetický výdej v průměru o 36,9 % (p = 0,01), přičemž největší rozdíl byl zaznamenán u dětí s nadváhou. Při rychlosti 6 km/h se rozdíl snížil na 4,8 % (p = 0,33). Garmin vivosmart 5 rovněž systematicky podhodnocoval tepovou frekvenci. Závěry: Tato zjištění zdůrazňují, že při práci s daty z chytrých náramků je důležité zohlednit jejich limity, obzvlášť při nižší intenzitě... Introduction: In recent years, children's physical activity has decreased, while the prevalence of overweight and obesity has increased. This problem further escalated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Wearable technologies, such as smart bands, offer new ways to motivate children to engage in physical activity. However, for their effective use, it is essential to verify the accuracy of the data they provide. Objective: The aim of this study was to compare energy expenditure and heart rate data from the Garmin vivosmart 5 smart band with values measured by the reference metabolic analyzer PNOĒ in early school-aged children. Methods: The research sample consisted of 13 children aged 6 to 11 years. Measurements were conducted on a treadmill at speeds of 4 km/h and 6 km/h. Data from the Garmin vivosmart 5 smart band were compared with values obtained from the PNOĒ analyzer. The study also included the PAQ-C/CZ questionnaire assessing weekly physical activity levels. Results: At a speed of 4 km/h, the Garmin vivosmart 5 overestimated energy expenditure by an average of 36.9% (p = 0.01). The largest differences were found in children with overweight.
