Bahňáci jsou rychle ubývající skupinou ptáků. Ohroženi jsou primárně antropogenními vlivy, mezi které patří zejména změna klimatu, úbytek přírodních stanovišť a sportovní lov. Aby se vliv těchto faktorů na populace bahňáků eliminoval, provádí se nejrůznější ochranářská opatření zahrnující chov v zajetí, tvorbu umělých hnízd, legislativní druhovou ochranu, management biotopů obývaných jednotlivými druhy, ochranu před predátory a regulaci lovu. Ačkoliv o účinnosti těchto jednotlivých opatření pojednává velké množství studií, neexistuje přehled o tom, které fungují při vzájemném srovnání lépe a které hůře. Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo proto identifikovat, která opatření vykazují nejvyšší efektivitu a jaké faktory ovlivňují jejich úspěšnost. Výsledky ukazují, že mezi nejúčinnější zásahy patří obnova mokřadů, individuální ochrana hnízd a ochrana legislativní. V práci jsou diskutovány také mezery v těchto zásazích, jako je neuspokojivý monitoring provedených opatření, nedostatečné porozumění ekologickým potřebám cílových druhů či absence konkrétních nástrojů v legislativě. Na základě uvedených zjištění doporučuji, aby ochranářské akce dbaly na komplexní ochranu druhů i jejich stanovišť a aby kladly důraz na důsledný monitoring provedených managementových zásahů. Their populations are threatened primarily by anthropogenic factors, particularly climate change, the loss of natural habitat, and sport hunting. To mitigate the impacts of these pressures, a variety of conservation measures have been implemented, including captive breeding, artificial nesting, legal protection of species, habitat management, predator control, and hunting regulations. While the effectiveness of each of these measures has repeatedly been evaluated, there is currently no comprehensive review comparing which actions are more or less effective. The aim of this thesis was to identify the most effective conservation actions and the factors influencing their success. The findings suggest that the most effective measures include wetland restoration, protection of nests, and conservation legislation. The thesis also discusses common shortcomings of these interventions, such as insufficient monitoring, limited understanding of the ecological needs of target species, and gaps in legal instruments. Based on these findings, I recommend that conservation efforts adopt an integrated approach that protects both species and their habitats, with a strong emphasis on thorough monitoring of implemented management actions.
