Diplomová práce se zabývá společenskou reflexí duševní choroby v kontextu meziválečného Československa (1918-1939), přičemž se bude snažit ukázat problematiku postavení a realitu duševně nemocných osob. Na příkladu Kramerova soukromého sanatoria pro nervové choroby v Praze-Bubenči bude představena tato problematika z několika aspektů: pozornost bude nejprve soustředěna na zasazení do historického kontextu etablující se psychiatrie jako vědy, péče o choromyslné, ale i sledování mocenských reprezentací sanatoria, které ovlivňují sociální a ekonomické postavení aktérů. Krom toho tyto aspekty budou doplněny částí, jež se bude věnovat pohledu nemocných aktérů, kteří se podělí o osobní zkušenosti a prožívání v průběhu internace. Cílem je propojit všechny tyto segmenty a vytvořit vhled do světa duševně nemocných. This thesis deals with the social reflection of mental illness in the context of interwar Czechoslovakia (1918-1939), attempting to show the problems surrounding the status and reality of mentally ill people. Using the example of Kramer's private sanatorium for nervous disorders in Prague-Bubeneč, this issue will be presented from several aspects: attention will first be focused on the historical context of the establishment of psychiatry as a science, care for the mentally ill, and the monitoring of the sanatorium's power structures, which influence the social and economic status of the actors involved. In addition, these aspects will be supplemented by a section devoted to the perspective of the sick actors, who will share their personal experiences and feelings during their internment. The goal is to connect all these segments and create insight into the world of the mentally ill.
