cze Abstract:
Phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate, PI(4,5)P2, is a phospholipid component of various cell membranes. PI(4,5)P2 plays a key role in numerous signaling pathways and is involved in cytoskeleton dynamics, regulation of ion channels, as well as in endocytosis and exocytosis. This bachelor's thesis focuses on the preparation of a suitably protected myo-inositol derivative that serves as a precursor for the synthesis of PI(4,5)P2 and its analogues. The described synthetic route utilizes commercially available myo-inositol and offers an efficient route to the key intermediate for PI(4,5)P2 synthesis, which may help facilitate further studies on the cellular functions of PI(4,5)P2. Key-words Inositol, myo-inositol, phosphatidylinositol phosphate, protective groups, enantiomeric resolution.
