Diplomová práce se zabývá korespondencí spisovatele a novináře Karla Havlíčka (1821-1856) v době jeho konfinace v Brixenu. Jedná se o 135 převážně česky psaných jednotek z let 1851- 1855. Práce obsahuje analýzu odeslané, ale taktéž i přijaté korespondence, které bylo v edicích i literatuře dosud věnováno méně prostoru než korespondenci odeslané. V teoretické části jsou představeny termíny a pojetí z oblastí důležitých pro analýzu a vytyčení její metody. V rámci kvalitativní analýzy práce sleduje ztvárnění brixenského pobytu v různých tematických okruzích (např. Brixen, Havlíčkův život, stylizace Havlíčkovy osoby) a snaží se zachytit možné proměny tohoto ztvárnění s ohledem na zvolené komunikační strategie. Nepracuje na rozdíl od některých publikací s korespondencí jako s dokumentem, snaží se zdůraznit, jak dopis funguje v komunikaci. The diploma thesis deals with the correspondence of the writer and journalist Karel Havlíček (1821-1856) during his confinement in Brixen. It consists of 135 mostly Czech-written letters from the years 1851-1855. The thesis contains an analysis of both sent and received correspondence, the latter so far receiving less space in editions and literature. The theoretical part presents terms and concepts from areas important for the analysis and outlines of its method. As part of the qualitative analysis, the thesis follows the portrayal of the Brixen stay in various thematic areas (e.g. Brixen, Havlíček and his life) and tries to capture possible changes in this portrayal with regard to the chosen communication strategies. Unlike some publications, it does not work with correspondence as a document; it tries to emphasize how a letter functions in communication.
