This bachelor's thesis focuses on word order in French and its role within the language system. The aim is to describe the basic principles governing the arrangement of sentence constituents in French, particularly in the core sentence, and to demonstrate how word order changes depending on various syntactic and pragmatic factors. The thesis also explains the theory of sentence fields, which makes it possible to describe the positions of individual sentence constituents in a systematic and structured way, including their possible variations. French is compared with Czech, which serves as a contrastive language to clarify the specifics of fixed word order. The work combines theoretical explanation with the analysis of concrete examples and illustrates how word order is connected to meaning construction, sentence function, and communicative use. KEY WORDS word order, constituent structures, syntagms, tagmemes, phrasemes, rhythmic groups Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na slovosled ve francouzštině a jeho postavení v rámci jazykového systému. Cílem je popsat základní principy uspořádání větných členů ve francouzské větě, především ve větě jádrové, a ukázat, jak se slovosled proměňuje v závislosti na různých syntaktických a pragmatických faktorech. Součástí práce je rovněž vysvětlení teorie větných polí, která umožňuje systematicky a strukturalizovaně popsat pozice jednotlivých větných konstituentů a jejich případné variace. Francouzština je v tomto kontextu porovnávána s češtinou, která slouží jako kontrastní jazyk pro objasnění specifik pevného slovosledu. Práce kombinuje teoretický výklad s analýzou konkrétních příkladů a ukazuje, jakým způsobem slovosled souvisí s výstavbou významu a funkcí a s fungováním věty v komunikaci.
