Bakalářská práce "Morální systémy v sérii Red Dead Redemption" se zabývá analýzou morálních systémů v titulech Red Dead Redemption (2010) a Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018) od studia Rockstar Games. Cílem práce je skrze kvalitativní obsahovou analýzu popsat strukturu a funkčnost videoherních morálních systémů obou titulů, včetně dopadu na herní narativ, a následně morální systémy obou titulů komparovat, s cílem zjistit rozdíly v jejich provedení a v účincích na herní zážitek. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na definici videoherního média a jeho historický vývoj. Dále na roli hráče při morálních rozhodnutích, na historický vývoj a typologii morálních systémů a na závěr na představení videoherní série Red Dead Redemption. Praktická část nejprve analyzuje titul Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018) a jeho konkrétní herní mechaniky, skrze teoretický rámec daný přehledem morálních videoherních systémů zvaný CINDR, a hodnotí jejich propojení s vývojem postav a příběhem. Poté přichází na řadu komparace systému druhého dílu a prvního dílu série, na základě zmíněného teoretického rámce. Výsledky práce ukazují, že přes řadu podobností obou morálních systémů je systém druhého dílu výraznějším způsobem propojen s herním příběhem, ovlivňuje tak narativní rovinu titulu a umožňuje hlubší identifikaci hráče s protagonistou. The bachelor's thesis "Moral systems in Red Dead Redemption series" focuses on analysing the moral systems in the titles Red Dead Redemption (2010) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018), developed by Rockstar Games. The aim of the thesis is to describe the structure and functionality of the moral systems in both games through qualitative content analysis, including their impact on the game narrative, and to compare systems of both games in order to identify differences in their implementation and their effects on the gaming experience. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the definition of the video game medium and its historical development. It also examines the role of the player in moral decision-making, the historical development and typology of moral systems, and concludes with an introduction to the Red Dead Redemption video game series. The practical part first analyses Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018) and its specific gameplay mechanics through a theoretical framework based on the CINDR as classification of moral systems and evaluates their connection to character development and narrative structure.
