cze Abstract:
Pomocí MABC-2 byly vyhodnoceny tři základní oblasti - zručnost, míčové dovednosti a rovnováha. Výsledky obou skupin byly statisticky porovnány. Z manuálních a míčových dovedností dosáhly děti s DS téměř nejnižších možných hodnot. Z komponenty míření a chytání získali největší podíl (48,92 %) z celkového počtu bodů. V...This bachelor's thesis focuses on the assessment of motor skills in children with Down syndrome (DS) in the age category of 6-12 years using the standardized Movement Assessment Battery for Children - Second Edition (MABC-2). It also aims to evaluate the suitability and limitations of this tool when applied to this specific population. The theoretical part presents a review of current knowledge about DS, typical motor development patterns, and an overview of available assessment tools. These tools are compared in terms of their applicability to children with DS. In the practical part, 13 children with DS and 17 children without known medical or neurodevelopmental conditions serving as the control group, were assessed using the MABC-2. The evaluation focused on three main domains: manual dexterity, aiming and catching, and balance. The results of both groups were statistically compared. In the areas of manual dexterity and aiming and catching, children with DS achieved nearly the lowest possible scores. Aiming and catching accounted for the largest share of their total score (48,92 %), specifically due to the task of throwing a beanbag onto a mat, with an average score of 4.85 points. All children with DS achieved the lowest possible total test score, indicating a floor effect. This suggests that...
