Tématem diplomové práce je jazyková a pragmatická analýza slavnostního zahájení olympijských her v Paříži 2024 a diskuse o něm. Téma bylo zvoleno s ohledem na kontroverzní program slavnostního zahájení, který vyvolal silné ohlasy napříč českou společností, a to ať už jde o vnímání nástupu Českého olympijského týmu nebo o program samotný. Cílem práce je získat prostřednictvím jazykového výzkumu tematicky relevantních příspěvků na Facebooku jasné a průkazné výsledky jazykové a pragmatické analýzy. Texty jsou zkoumány především prostřednictvím kvalitativní analýzy dat, v sumarizaci zjištěných výsledků je použita rovněž kvantitativní metoda zkoumání obsahu mediálního sdělení. Dílčími cíli je identifikovat nejčastěji se opakující jazykové prvky a pokusit se najít rovněž důvody, proč byly tyto výrazy použity nejčastěji. Dále je v práci zjištěn plný rozsah využívaných výrazů a jazykového stylu, díky čemuž jasně vyvstává, jak moc se vyjádření uživatelů Facebooku k tématu zahájení olympijských her liší od těch zpravodajských serverů. Práce se také zaměřuje na pragmatiku, tedy na analýzu názorů uživatelů s cílem zjistit, které názory a formulace uživatelé nejčastěji používali k vyjádření svého postoje k tématu. The topic of this thesis is a linquistic and pragmatic analysis of the media image of the opening of the summer olympic games in Paris and the debate about it. The topic was selected due to the controversial nature of the ceremony's program, which sparked strong reactions across Czech society, whether concerning the perception of the Czech Olympic team's entrance or the ceremony itself. The aim of this thesis is to obtain clear results from a linguistic and pragmatic analysis through research of Facebook posts related to the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. The primary method of text analysis is qualitative content analysis; for summarizing the findings, a quantitative method of analyzing media content is also used. Additional objectives include identifying the most frequently recurring linguistic elements and attempts to explain probable reasons why these particular expressions might have been most commonly used. Furthermore, the thesis examines the full range of vocabulary and language styles utilized, in order to understand the extent to which statements from news outlets and Facebook users differ in their treatment of the Olympic opening ceremony.
