Abstract: The genera Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus are symbiotic bacteria of entomopathogenic nematodes Steinernema and Heterorhabditis, respectively. These bacteria produce a wide range of secondary metabolites, some of which have insecticidal effects. This work evaluates the effect of cell-free supernatants containing metabolites from selected bacterial strains on Myzus persicae by applying them by spraying and monitoring pest mortality over a period of five days.
