[cze][eng] Pozadí vzniku NASA a počátky tzv. Space race Abstrakt Tato práce zkoumá historické, politické a ideologické faktory, které vedly k založení Národního úřadu pro letectví a vesmír (NASA) v roce 1958. Zaměřuje se na dopad prvotních úspěchů Sovětského svazu v oblasti raných vesmírných závodů, které vyvolaly zásadní geopolitickou a společenskou krizi ve Spojených státech amerických. Hlavní tezí tohoto textu je, že založení NASA nebylo způsobeno pouze jedinou příčinou, ale bylo důsledkem kombinace vnějších geopolitických tlaků a vnitřní institucionální fragmentace. Analýzou ideologie studené války, technologických závodů mezi supervelmocemi a vnitřních debat v rámci amerických politických struktur se práce snaží odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku: "Proč bylo zapotřebí nezávislé civilní vesmírné agentury?". Práce se opírá o historicko-analytickou metodologii, která se snaží kombinovat zkoumání primárních zdrojů (interní memoranda, záznamy Kongresu ad.) s interpretací sekundární odborné literatury, která poskytuje širší historiografický kontext. Dále je použita komparativní politická analýza a obsahová analýza, která umožňuje prozkoumání ideologické rámce a politických perspektiv předcházející létu 1958. Toto bádání ukazuje, že vznik NASA byl mnohostrannou reakcí na vnější a vnitřní tlaky. Úspěch SSSR v podobě Sputniku...Pozadí vzniku NASA a počátky tzv. Space race Abstract This work examines the historical, political, and ideological factors that led to the establishment of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1958. It focuses on the impact of the Soviet Union's initial successes in the early space race, which triggered a fundamental geopolitical and social crisis in the United States. The main thesis of this text is that the establishment of NASA was not caused by a single factor, but was the result of a combination of external geopolitical pressures and internal institutional fragmentation. By analyzing the ideology of the Cold War, the technological race between the superpowers, and internal debates within American political structures, this thesis seeks to answer the research question: "Why was an independent civilian space agency necessary?" The thesis is based on a historical-analytical methodology that combines the examination of primary sources (internal memoranda, congressional records, etc.) with the interpretation of secondary specialist literature, which provides a broader historiographical context.
