Abstrakt Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou využívání omezujících prostředků při poskytování ošetřovatelské péče na jednotce intenzivní péče. Cíle mé práce byly zmapovat nejčastěji používané omezovací prostředky, zjistit, jak jejich použití vnímají všeobecné sestry, a identifikovat ošetřovatelské intervence, které sestry využívají v souvislosti s aplikací těchto prostředků. Pro získání odpovědí na výzkumné cíle byla zvolena metoda kvalitativního výzkumu. Ke sběru dat byla použita technika polostrukturovaného, nestandardizovaného rozhovoru s osmi všeobecnými sestrami pracujícími na jednotkách intenzivní péče ve vybrané nemocnici Jihočeského kraje. Rozhovory se zaměřovaly na konkrétní zkušenosti s používáním omezovacích prostředků, situace, které jejich aplikaci předcházely a na způsoby, jakými sestry s pacienty během omezení pracují. Získaná data byla analyzována metodou otevřeného kódování pomocí techniky tužka a papír. Na základě zpracovaných dat byly výsledky výzkumu rozčleněny do čtyř hlavních kategorií a sedmi podkategorií, které se zaměřovaly na formy používaných omezovacích prostředků, postoje sester k jejich použití, a na konkrétní ošetřovatelské intervence u pacientů s aplikovanými prostředky. Sestry uvedly, že nejčastěji používanými prostředky jsou textilní pásy, kurty, rukavičky a břišní pás. Použití prostředků sestry vnímají jako nevyhnutelné zejména při zajištění bezpečnosti pacientů a prevenci sebepoškození, zároveň si však uvědomují jejich etickou a emoční náročnost. V rámci ošetřovatelské péče kladly důraz na individuální přístup, komunikaci s pacientem i jeho rodinou a pravidelné monitorování stavu pacienta. Také zde zmiňovaly návrhy na zlepšení v praxi a co by mohlo přispět ke snížení jejich využívání. Zjištěné poznatky mohou být přínosné pro praxi sester na jednotkách intenzivní péče nebo sloužit jako podklad pro edukaci zdravotnického personálu. Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the use of restraints in nursing care in intensive care units. The objectives of my thesis were to map the most commonly used restraints, to find out how their use is perceived by general nurses, and to identify nursing interventions that nurses use in connection with the application of these restraints. A qualitative research method was chosen to obtain answers to the research objectives. Data was collected using semi-structured, non-standardized interviews with eight general nurses working in intensive care units at a selected hospital in the South Bohemian Region. The interviews focused on specific experiences with the use of restraints, situations that preceded their application, and the ways in which nurses work with patients during restraint. The data obtained was analyzed using the open coding method with a pencil and paper technique. Based on the processed data, the results of the research were divided into four main categories and seven subcategories, which focused on the forms of restraints used, nurses' attitudes towards their use, and specific nursing interventions for patients with applied restraints. Nurses reported that the most commonly used restraints were cloth belts, kurtas, gloves, and lap belt. Nurses perceived the use of devices as necessary, especially in ensuring patient safety and preventing self-harm, but they also recognized their ethical and emotional demands. In the nursing care, they emphasized an individual approach, communication with the patient and his/her family, and regular monitoring of the patient's condition. They also mentioned here suggestions for improvements in practice and what could help to reduce their use. The findings may be beneficial for the practice of nurses in intensive care units or serve as a basis for the education of nursing staff.
