Tématem předkládané bakalářské práce je motiv vejce ve výtvarném renesančním umění v Itálii a umění 20. století, kde byl tento symbol velmi frekventovaným. Proměnou společenských témat se interpretace a užití tohoto motivu v zobrazeních proměňovalo, a proto tato práce bude sledovat interpretační výklady, od biblických po psychologické, vycházející z literárních pramenů a komparaci ikonografických příruček a literatury, která byla na toto téma dosud napsaná. Následné interpretační polohy budou podloženy náležitými příklady, na kterých bude proměnu motivu možné sledovat. The subject of the bachelor thesis is the motif of an egg in Italian Renaissance art and art of 20th century, where the symbol was very frequent. Through the change of social topics, the interpretation and use of this motif has varied, therefore this thesis will folow these interpretations, from biblical to psychological. It will be based on literary sources and comparison of iconographic manuals and litarature that has been written on the subject so far. These interpretation positions will be supported by appropriate examples on which the evolution of the motif will be seen.
