Abstract: This paper presents the design of medical device implantable under the skin of animals for vital signs measurement (temperature and heartbeat ) and wireless data distribution for health data review . This system utilizes a thermoelectric generator as an energy harvester and supercapacitor a s an energy storage for long term operation without the need of system maintenance and Bluetooth Low Energy module for data transfer to any Bluetooth compatible device. Design also includes passive RFID tag for identification. The system is presented as proof of concept with commercially available electronic components.
