Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem mezi Sense of coherence (SOC) a pracovní angažovaností u české dospělé populace. Literární část se věnuje klíčovým konceptům, jejich definici, vývoji a propojení. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, zda vyšší míra Sense of coherence souvisí s vyšší pracovní angažovaností a zda tento vztah ovlivňují demografické proměnné (věk, pohlaví a vzdělání). Výzkum čítá 522 respondentů ve věku od 19 do 85 let, kde zastoupení mužů a žen je vyrovnané. Data jsou sbírána prostřednictvím standardizovaných dotazníků SOC-29 a UWES- 3. Výsledky potvrzují hlavní hypotézu, kdy regresní analýza ukázala pozitivní vztah mezi konstruktem SOC a pracovní angažovaností. Proměnné věku, vzdělání ani pohlaví jako moderátorů však neměly dopad na tento vztah. I po kontrole těchto proměnných přetrvává pozitivní korelace mezi SOC a pracovní angažovaností. Potvrzuje se tím fakt, že naše vnitřní charakteristiky jako je SOC přispívají k vyšší angažovanosti a měly by tak být podporovány a rozvíjeny. Všechny získané poznatky mohou být využity v oblasti psychického zdraví a pracovního well- beingu. Klíčová slova: smysl pro soudržnost; pracovní angažovanost; salutogeneze; kvantitativní výzkum This bachelor thesis examines the relationship between Sense of Coherence (SOC) and work engagement within the Czech adult population. The theoretical section focuses on the key concepts, including their definitions, development, and mutual connections. The primary aim of the research is to determine whether higher levels of SOC are associated with higher levels of work engagement, and whether demographic variables (age, gender, and education) moderate this relationship. The research sample consists of 522 respondents aged 19 to 85 years, with a balanced representation of men and women. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires: SOC-29 and UWES-3. The results support the main hypothesis, where regression analysis showed a positive relationship between the SOC construct and work engagement. However, the variables of age, education, and gender as moderators did not affect this relationship. Even after controlling for these variables, the positive correlation between SOC and work engagement persisted. This confirms that our intrinsic characteristics such as SOC contribute to higher engagement and thus should be encouraged and developed.
