Cílem této bakalářské práce je zmapovat a popsat anglofonní recepci románu Příběh inženýra lidských duší Josefa Škvoreckého. Práce se snaží poskytnout komplexní obraz toho, jak rezonovalo dílo českého spisovatele v cizojazyčném prostředí a odlišném kulturním kontextu. Pro zkoumání ohlasů práce využívá především poznatky teoretiků Romana Ingardena a Felixe Vodičky, které jsou přiblíženy v úvodní části práce. The thesis seeks to provide a complex picture of how the works of this Czech author resonated in a foreign-language environment and a different cultural context. To examine the responses, the thesis primarily uses the theoretical insights ofRoman Ingarden and Felix Vodička, which are introduced in the opening section.
