cze Abstract:
Title: Self-rescue Skills in Swimming Education Objective: The aim of this thesis is to map the teaching of self-rescue elements within the mandatory swimming education at primary schools. Based on the collected information, to create methodological recommendations and their subsequent application in teaching children's swimming. Methods: Data collection was carried out through a survey. The survey has been sent to primary education schools that attend compulsory swimming lessons in the region of Pardubice. The gathered data was then analyzed. Based on the obtained information, recommendations were developed for the application of self-rescue and rescue skills in primary swimming education. Results: The research showed that self-rescue elements are perceived as a regular part of swimming instruction-54,3 % of respondents include them regularly, and 41.4 % at least occasionally. Most frequently, technical skills such as floating, underwater orientation, or treading water are incorporated, while realistic emergency scenarios (e.g., falling into water while clothed) are less commonly included. The results also highlight gaps in the systematic approach to teaching and in the cross-curricular integration of safety-related content. Keywords: self-rescue skills, research, study, swimming.
