Tato diplomová práce analyzuje faktory, které vedly k volebnímu vzestupu a dlouhodobé politické dominanci dvou hlavních představitelů populistické radikální pravice ve střední Evropě - maďarské strany Fidesz - Maďarská občanská unie (Fidesz) a polské strany Právo a spravedlnost (PiS). Výzkum je zasazen do teoretického rámce nabídky a poptávky po radikálně populistické pravici, jak jej definuje Cas Mudde, a zaměřuje se na deset klíčových faktorů: politickou a ekonomickou transformaci, ekonomickou situaci, přistěhovalectví, důvěru v politický systém, kulturní prostředí, volební systém, politickou konkurenci, mediální prostředí, stranickou organizaci a lídra, a stranickou ideologii a strategii. Práce využívá kvalitativní komparativní analýzu případových studií s prvky process tracingu a čerpá z odborné literatury, primárních dokumentů stran a mezinárodních indexů. Výsledky ukazují, že obě strany úspěšně využily strukturálních slabin, nabídly atraktivní odpovědi na obavy společnosti a provedly zásadní změny v institucionálním prostředí svých států. Přestože sdílejí podobné ideologické základy a strategii konsolidace moci, liší se v důrazu na sociální politiku, zahraničněpolitické orientaci a míře pragmatismu. This thesis analyzes the factors that led to the electoral rise and long-term political dominance of two major representatives of the populist radical right in Central Europe - Hungary's Fidesz - Hungarian Civic Alliance and Poland's Law and Justice party (PiS). The research is grounded in the theoretical framework of supply and demand for populist radical right parties as defined by Cas Mudde and focuses on ten key factors: political and economic transformation, economic situation, immigration, trust in the political system, cultural environment, electoral system, political competition, media environment, party organization and leadership, and party ideology and strategy. The thesis employs a qualitative comparative case study analysis with elements of process tracing and draws on academic literature, primary party documents, and international indices. The findings demonstrate that both parties successfully exploited structural weaknesses, offered compelling responses to societal concerns, and carried out significant changes in their countries' institutional environments. Although they share similar ideological foundations and strategies of power consolidation, they differ in their emphasis on social policy, foreign policy orientation, and degree of pragmatism.
