Tato diplomová práce sestává z překladu vybraných kapitol románu Weiße Flecken autorky Lene Albrecht z němčiny do češtiny a z odborného translatologického komentáře. Ten se věnuje jednak translatologické a literárně-stylistické analýze předlohy, jednak rozboru hlavních problémů překladu. Pozornost je věnována především reprodukované řeči využívající německý slovesný způsob konjunktiv I a možnostem jeho adekvátního převodu do češtiny. Tato kapitola nabízí ucelený komparativní přehled dané problematiky využitelný jako pomůcka pro překladatele. Dále se práce zaměřuje na potenciální způsoby překladu genderově inkluzivního jazyka v kombinaci němčina - čeština a v neposlední řadě na způsob zapisování slov černoch a běloch v aktivistickém kontextu. This thesis consists of a Czech translation of selected chapters of the German novel Weiße Flecken by Lene Albrecht and an accompanying study. The focus of the study is, firstly, an analysis of the original text in terms of translation studies and literary science, and secondly, the main issues which arise with a Czech translation of the novel. In this part, the study focuses more in depth on reported speech expressed by the German-specific mode Konjunktiv I and its possible equivalents in a Czech translation. This chapter offers a concise comparative study on this topic for other translators. Furthermore, the thesis deals with potential Czech equivalents of German gender inclusive language. Last but not least, it covers the activist form of spelling the words Black and white in the context of race.
