Předkládaná práce je zaměřena na občanské obřady v Československu v 2. polovině 20. století. Pracuje s popisem a analýzou pramene. Snaží se přiblížit rituály a jejich funkci, jak v minulosti, tak i v moderní společnosti. Dále se zaměřuje na historický kontext ČSSR a SSSR s ohledem na zkoumané téma. Následně obsahuje faktografii ke Sborům pro občanské záležitosti a v neposlední řadě se zabývá analýzou rituálu jako takového, což bylo těžištěm této práce. V práci jsou uvedeny důvody vzniku sborů a rituálu vítání dětí do života. Pozornost je zaměřena na rituál a jeho rekonstrukci. Cílem bylo zjistit, zda se socialistická společnost snažila vítáním dětí do života nahradit církevní křest v plném rozsahu, a proč tyto dva obřady existovaly současně vedle sebe. This thesis delves into civil ceremonies in Czechoslovakia in the second half of the 20th century. The work utilises and analyses a number of sources. It tries to bring rituals and their function closer, both in the past and in modern society. It also covers the area of the historical context of Czechoslovakia and the USSR with regard to the researched topic. Subsequently, it contains information about the Council for Civil Affairs, while primarily focusing on the analysis of the ritual as such, which was the subject of this work. The work presents the reasons for the creation of choirs, the ritual of welcoming children into life and the creation of thereof. The aim of the work was to find out whether the ceremony of welcoming children into life wanted to resemble baptism in its function and organization and whether it wanted to replace it. Extra emphasis is placed on the ritual and its reconstruction. The main objective of this work is to explore the attempt of socialist society to replace church baptism in its entirety by welcoming children into life, but this did not succeed and baptism was never completely replaced.
