cze Abstract:
Klíčovým zjištěním je, že kvalita a dostupnost sociální...This thesis focuses on the experience of stress and coping strategies among young adults aged 20 to 30, with particular emphasis on the tend-and-befriend theory. Introduced by S. E. Taylor in 2000, this theory describes coping with stress through caring for others (tending) and seeking social support (befriending) as an evolutionarily grounded yet culturally shaped response to threat. The aim of the research is to explore how young adults subjectively perceive and describe stress, which strategies they use to manage it, and what significance they attribute to both providing and receiving social support within their interpersonal networks. The qualitative research was conducted through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), which enables in-depth understanding of the personal meaning attached to lived experience. The study also focuses on identifying key stressors in the context of contemporary society, including developmental, relational, and digital stressors. The results indicate that the tend-and-befriend strategy plays a significant regulatory role in participants' lives-often spontaneously and intuitively. Helping others and seeking support were reflected as means not only of coping with stress but also of creating meaning and maintaining...
