Tato práce se zabývá problematikou preventivní gynekologické péče u žen v postmenopauzálním období. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit postoje a chování žen ve věku nad 45 let vůči gynekologickým preventivním prohlídkám a zhodnotit jejich účast na screeningových programech. Výsledky ukázaly, že většina respondentek má pozitivní přístup k prevenci a považuje ji za důležitou součást péče o zdraví. Nicméně při srovnání s celostátními statistickými údaji se ukázalo, že účast žen v postmenopauze na screeningu zůstává nízká. Diskuze reflektuje hlavní překážky v účasti na prevenci, limity provedeného výzkumu a doporučení pro praxi. Práce rovněž upozorňuje na rizika reaktivace HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) infekce ve vyšším věku a její souvislost s výskytem gynekologických malignit. Klíčová slova: prevence, menopauza, gynekologie, zdraví, screening This thesis focuses on the issue of preventive gynecological care among postmenopausal women. The aim of the research was to explore the attitudes and behaviors of women over the age of 45 toward gynecological check-ups and to assess their participation in cervical cancer screening programs. The results showed that most respondents had a positive attitude towards prevention and considered it an important part of health care. However, when compared to national statistics, participation rates in preventive screening among postmenopausal women remain low. The discussion reflects on the main barriers to participation, limitations of the study, and practical recommendations. The thesis also highlights the risk of HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) reactivation in older age and its relation to the occurrence of gynecological malignancies.
