Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na vnímání ideálu ženské krásy na sociálních sítích a zkoumá, jak tento ideál ovlivňuje pojetí vlastního vzhledu u mladých žen ve věku 18 až 26 let. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak mladé ženy vnímají a interpretují zobrazování ženské krásy v kontextu sociálních sítí a jak tyto sítě formují jejich představy o ideálu krásy. Dále se práce zaměřuje na to, jak mladé ženy reflektují svůj vlastní vzhled ve vztahu k ideálu prezentovanému na sociálních sítích. Pozornost je věnována také prezentaci žen na sítích a otázce, jak jejich sebeprezentace souvisí se standardy krásy. V teoretické části jsou rozebírány klíčové koncepty, jako je krása, včetně jejího pojetí v digitální době, sebeprezentace, také gender a koncept male gaze. Dále práce specifikuje sociální sítě a věnuje se i problematice sebepojetí. V metodologické části je uvedena kvalitativní metodologie, využitá pro tento výzkum, včetně tematické analýzy a otevřeného kódování. Empirická část představuje hloubkové polostrukturované rozhovory s devíti ženami, které se podělily o své názory a zkušenosti. Výsledky ukazují, že všechny komunikační partnerky považují sociální sítě za hlavní prostor, kde je v současnosti prezentován ideál ženské krásy. This thesis focuses on the perception of the ideal of female beauty on social media and examines how this ideal influences the perception of one's own appearance among young women aged 18 to 26. The aim of the thesis is to explore how young women perceive and interpret representations of female beauty in the context of social media and how these networks shape their perceptions of the beauty ideal. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on how young women reflect on their own appearance in relation to the ideal presented on social networks. Attention is also paid to the presentation of women on the networks and how their self-presentation relates to beauty standards. In the theoretical part, key concepts such as beauty, including its conception in the digital age, self-presentation, as well as gender and the concept of male gaze are discussed. Furthermore, the thesis specifies social networks and addresses the issue of self- concept. The methodology section presents the qualitative methodology used for this research, including thematic analysis and open coding. The empirical part presents in-depth semi- structured interviews with nine women who shared their views and experiences.
