The theoretical part describes the concept of social support, its types and sources, the profession of nurses, occupational stress associated with this role, predictors of job satisfaction, and information about the covid-19 pandemic and its impact on nurses. The empirical part is based on a non-standardized quantitative questionnaire survey, through which data were collected on the provision of social support, changes in this area during the pandemic period, and the effects of social support on the job satisfaction and health of nurses at the University Hospital Hradec Králové.
