cze Abstract:
Klíčová slova: per- a polyfluoroalkylové látky (PFAS), fertilita, reprodukce, PCOS, oocytThis bachelor thesis addresses the issue of perfluorinated and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) as endocrine disruptors affecting female fertility. PFASs are synthetically produced compounds widely used in various consumer products due to their unique properties. Because of their high stability, they persist in the environment and in living organisms over long periods of time. The work focuses on the effects of these substances on the female reproductive system, particularly on hormone levels, complications during pregnancy or disruption of oocyte maturation. Emphasis is also placed on the risks associated with the transmission of PFAS from mother to fetus during pregnancy. Possible adverse outcomes of prenatal exposure, such as lower birth weight or altered hormone levels, are described. Legislative measures that seek to limit the use of PFASs and reduce their impact on the population are also discussed. Finally, the thesis outlines the limitations of existing studies, suggesting directions for future research on this issue. Key words: per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), fertility, reproduction, PCOS, oocyte
