cze Abstract:
[cze][eng] Tato práce se zabývá dosud kompletně neexistujícím systematickým popisem fosilní travertinové otiskové flóry ze slovenské lokality Dreveník. Tento materiál nasbíral v první polovině 20. století prof. FRANTIŠEK NĚMEJC a posléze uložil do depozitáře Národního muzea. K popisu rostlinných taxonů byly použity čistě morfologické (vnější) znaky studovaných fosilních vegetativních a generativních rostlinných orgánů, a to vzhledem ke způsobu zachovaní. Součástí této práce je také paleoekologická charakteristika lokality Dreveník, která byla zkoumána a porovnávána na základě analogického srovnání s dalšími významnými evropskými pliocenními lokalitami (např. Willershausen, Auenheim či lokalita Hajnáčka a další). Výsledkem je paleoekologická charakteristika Dreveníku jako smíšeného temperátního lesa se zastoupením jehličnatých rostlin s prvky teplomilné vegetace (např. Liquidambar, Cercidiphyllum, Torreya a další). Na základě biostratigrafie byla lokalita Dreveník zasazena do období svrchního pliocénu (reuver/spodní Villafranchien; 3,5-2,58 Ma). Vzhledem ke specifičnosti prostředí...This thesis presents the first comprehensive systematic treatment of the fossil travertine- impression flora from the Dreveník locality in eastern Slovakia. The material-collected in the early 20th century by Prof. FRANTIŠEK NĚMEJC-is curated in the Palaeobotanical Collection of the National Museum in Prague but has never been fully described. Here, three genera of gymnosperms and eighteen genera of angiosperms are diagnosed, yielding 30 taxa in total (28 species-level, 2 family-level under open nomenclature). Taxonomic identifications are based solely on external morphological characters of preserved vegetative and reproductive organs, as dictated by the mode of preservation. A palaeoecological reconstruction, achieved through analogical comparison with other key European Pliocene floras (e.g., Willershausen,Auenheim, Hajnáčka), characterizes Dreveník as a mixed temperate forest with both coniferous and thermophilous elements (e.g., Liquidambar, Cercidiphyllum, Torreya). Biostratigraphic evidence assigns the flora to the Late Pliocene (Reuverian/lower Villafranchian; 3.5-2.58 Ma). However, the unique hydrothermal travertine setting warrants radiometric dating to assess potential extension of these plant assemblages into the Early Pleistocene. Palaeoclimatic conditions were quantified using the...
