Vlivem klimatické změny a globálního oteplování se zvyšuje průměrná teplota, frekvence a intenzita vln veder, přičemž se snižuje frekvence srážek a nastávají intenzivní období sucha. To spolu s urbanizací a efektem městského tepelného ostrova zintenzivňuje abiotické stresy působící na rostliny městského prostředí, zejména stres suchem, vysokými teplotami a nadměrným ozářením. Rostliny v městském prostředí plní mnoho funkcí, mezi něž patří i zmírňování dopadů městského tepelného ostrova ochlazováním budov a okolí. Aby rostliny mohly plnit tyto funkce, je nutné, aby byly v dobrém fyziologickém stavu. Je proto důležité vyvíjet a testovat nové a efektivní metody pro měření fyziologických parametrů rostlin spojených s těmito stresy. V této práci je cílem vyvinout postup a ověřit efektivitu využití termografie jako nástroje pro zhodnocení fyziologických parametrů popínavých rostlin v městském prostředí. Byly měřeny vybrané funkční znaky listoví (vodní potenciál, transpirace, vodivost průduchů a rychlost čisté fotosyntézy) a teplota povrchu rostlin v kontextu vln veder a vysokých teplot letních měsíců roku 2024. Měřeny byly rostliny Parthenocissus tricuspidata a Hedera helix na třech zelených fasádách s expozicí na severozápad, jihozápad a západ. Sledováno bylo také mikroklima stanovišť (teplota vzduchu,... Ongoing climate change and global warming cause higher temperatures and frequency of heat waves, commonly accompanied by periods of low precipitation and drought. These effects are magnified by urbanization and the heat urban island effect, which intensifies the abiotic stress of urban vegetation, namely heat, drought, and high irradiation stress. Plants in urban environments provide various services, one being cooling via transpiration. Those services however are endangered by abiotic stress worsening plant health. It is therefore needed to develop and test new and effective methods of measuring the physiological parameters of plants connected to those stresses. This thesis has a goal of developing an approach and evaluating the effectiveness of the usage of thermography as a method of measurement plant physiological status of climbing plants in urban environments. Selected leaf functional traits were measured (water potential, transpiration, stomatal conductance, and net photosynthesis) and plant surface temperature in the context of heat waves during the summer months of 2024.
