1 ABSTRAKT Bakalářská práce se zabývá sršní asijskou (Vespidae: Vespa velutina) a její invazí z místa původního, přirozeného výskytu na evropský kontinent. Práce je rešeršního charakteru a vznikla na základě rešerše literárních pramenů (zahraniční i tuzemské odborné entomologické literatury, monografií; vědeckých, popularizačních i novinových článků, studií a reportáží). Sršeň asijská je významný predátor včely medonosné (Apidae: Apis mellifera) a její invaze má velmi vážný dopad na ekologii různých druhů hmyzu i ekonomiku evropských států. Práce seznamuje čtenáře s tímto nebezpečným druhem hmyzu, jeho morfologií, etologií i životním cyklem, a informuje o hlavních rozdílech ve fyziologii i etologii mezi sršní asijskou a domácím druhem evropské sršně, sršní obecnou (Vespa crabro). Sršeň asijská je druh blanokřídlého hmyzu z čeledi sršňovitých (Vespidae). Vyniká přesnou hierarchií v hnízdě, způsobem komunikace, letu i lovu a je velmi reprodukčně úspěšný a přizpůsobivý. V Evropě postrádá přirozeného nepřítele, který by dokázal výrazně ovlivnit jeho invazi a nachází zde také díky postupující klimatické změně ideální podmínky pro etablování. Práce podává základní informace o průběhu a aktuální fázi invaze sršně asijské v Evropě a v České republice, a seznamuje čtenáře s možnostmi eradikace (či alespoň omezování... 1 ABSTRACT This bachelor thesis focuses on the Asian hornet (Vespidae: Vespa velutina) and its invasion from its native, natural range to the Europe. The thesis is of a search type and is based on a search of literature sources (foreign and Czech entomological literature, monographs; scientific papers, popularization and newspaper articles, studies and reports). The Asian hornet is an important predator of the Honey bee (Apidae: Apis mellifera) and its invasion has had a very serious impact on the ecology of various insect species and the economy of European countries. This work introduces the reader to this dangerous insect species, its morphology, ethology and life cycle, and informs about the main differences in physiology and ethology between the Asian hornet and the native European hornet, the Common hornet (Vespa crabro). The Asian hornet is a hymenopteran of the family Vespidae. It is distinguished by its precise nest hierarchy, its mode of communication, flight and hunting, and is highly reproductively successful and adaptable. In Europe, it lacks a natural enemy that could significantly influence its invasion and, thanks to progressive climate change, it also finds ideal conditions for establishment.
