cze Abstract:
Empirická část práce má podobu případové studie - využívá metodu polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s učiteli a vedením školy a analýzu školních dokumentů. This diploma thesis explores teacher collaboration in a bilingual elementary school as a modern and promising approach to education in a multicultural context. The aim of the research was to identify key conditions for effective tandem teaching between Czech and English-speaking teachers, to describe the factors that may hinder such cooperation, and to propose measures that could further support its development. The empirical part is based on a case study and combines semi-structured interviews with teachers and school leadership with an analysis of school documents. The results show that open communication, mutual respect, and personal compatibility between partners are seen as the main prerequisites for effective collaboration. Reported benefits include professional growth, more individualized instruction, and modeling respectful cooperation for students. Common challenges included time demands, language barriers, and unclear role definitions. The findings largely align with the theoretical framework and confirm the importance of both interpersonal and systemic factors in successful tandem teaching. The study also presents suggestions for further support, such as mentoring, structured planning time, and better familiarization of English-speaking teachers with the Czech curriculum.
