1 Abstrakt Pořadí narození hraje významnou roli ve vývoji jedince, ovlivňuje jeho osobnostní rysy, vzdělávací úspěchy a reprodukční strategie. Tato disertační práce zkoumá sourozenecké pozice v rámci rodinné hierarchie a jejich dopad na chování a sociální dynamiku z perspektivy evoluční psychologie a behaviorální ekologie. Výzkum vychází z analýzy několika aspektů, včetně rodičovské investice, sourozenecké rivality a kulturních vlivů, a propojuje je s širšími evolučními principy, jako je selekce příbuzných a teorie rodičovských investic. Práce se skládá z pěti samostatných studií. První studie shrnuje teoretické a historické základy výzkumu vlivu pořadí narození. Druhá studie se zaměřuje na vztah mezi pořadím narození a dosažením vysokoškolského vzdělání. Třetí část analyzuje rodinné vztahy v kontextu pořadí narození a paternitní nejistoty. Čtvrtá studie zkoumá souvislosti mezi sourozeneckou pozicí a sexuálními preferencemi. Poslední část navazuje na výzkumy souvislosti pořadí narození a mužské homosexuality, konkrétně testuje hypotézu sexuálně antagonistických genů a jejich vliv na fertilitu. Získaná data potvrzují, že pořadí narození významně ovlivňuje klíčové aspekty lidského vývoje a zdůrazňují důležitost interdisciplinárního přístupu ke studiu rodinné dynamiky. This dissertation examines sibling positions within family hierarchies and their impact on behavior and social dynamics from the perspectives of evolutionary psychology and behavioral ecology. The research is based on the analysis of various aspects, including parental investment, sibling rivalry, and cultural influences, and connects them with broader evolutionary principles, such as kin selection and parental investment theory. The dissertation consists of five independent studies. The first study summarizes the theoretical and historical foundations of birth order research. The second study focuses on the relationship between birth order and university enrollment. The third part analyzes family relationships in the context of birth order and paternity uncertainty. The fourth study explores the connections between sibling position and sexual preferences. The final study builds on research into the relationship between birth order and male homosexuality, specifically testing the sexually antagonistic gene hypothesis and its impact on fertility.
