Diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou slovenské autorky a ilustrátorky Simony Smatany a jejím využitím ve výuce na 1. stupni základní školy. Cílem je analyzovat didaktický potenciál vybraných knih této autorky a ověřit jejich přínos pro rozvoj čtenářské gramotnosti u žáků druhého ročníku. Teoretická část je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. Ty se věnují literatuře pro děti a mládež, rozvoji čtenářství na 1. stupni ZŠ, tvorbě Simony Smatany, didaktickému potenciálu knih a žákům se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. V empirické části byly navrženy a realizovány čtenářské lekce založené na propojení beletristického textu s naučným. Výzkum měl formu evaluační studie a probíhal na čtyřech pražských základních školách. Pomocí pretestů, posttestů a čtenářských listů byla ověřována míra porozumění textu současně s efektivitou použitých materiálů. Výzkum sledoval zejména rozdíly v porozumění beletristickému a naučnému textu. Zkoumal také případné odlišnosti mezi žáky se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami (SVP) a žáky intaktními. Výsledky ukázaly, že žáci lépe porozuměli beletristickému textu. Rozdíly mezi intaktními žáky a žáky se SVP se v tomto výzkumu neprokázaly jako významné. The thesis focuses on the work of Slovak author and illustrator Simona Smatana and its use in teaching at the first level of primary school. The main objective is to analyse the didactic potential of selected books by this author and to verify their contribution to the development of literacy in second grade pupils. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. These are devoted to literature for children and youth, the development of reading at the first stage of primary school, the work of Simona Smatana, the didactic potential of books and pupils with special educational needs. In the empirical part, reading lessons based on linking fiction text with educational text were designed and implemented. The research took the form of an evaluation study and was conducted in four Prague primary schools. Using pre-tests, post-tests and reading sheets. The level of comprehension of the text was tested along with the effectiveness of the materials used. In particular, the research looked at differences in comprehension between fiction and nonfiction texts. It also investigated possible differences between pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and intact pupils. The results showed that pupils understood fiction text better.
